Job Description

Identify community connections that best fit with AmeriCorps members as the Tulsa expert, helping to connect Life/Leadership After City Year plans with networks and availabilities in Tulsa.
Leverage relationships with AmeriCorps members to better understand their needs and plans to develop paths to achieving personal goals in Tulsa through City Year. 
Partner with the Development team to implement strategy to sustain and grow the community engagement within City Year and the schools we serve.
Continue Social Calendar Pilot: Leveraging technology, regularly share about events in Tulsa to help shape the perspective of what is happening in Tulsa and measure the impact on AmeriCorps member experience.
Continue Mentorship Pilot: Develop and manage City Year Tulsa’s mentorship program, providing Service Leader AmeriCorps members with a mentor outside of City Year for one year.   
Invite alumni to events throughout the year to engage with City Year Tulsa, current AmeriCorps members, and the larger Tulsa community.
Track City Year Tulsa Alumni data regarding location after City Year, career advancement and contact information in database.

Job Description

Career Services

  • Coordinate with Learning and Development team to implement professional development opportunities for AmeriCorps members including career workshops, networking sessions, and shadow days that partner with community connections.
  • Analyze and understand AmeriCorps members thoughts of Tulsa to help craft messages, opportunities, and Life/Leadership After City Year plans.
  • Support in partnership with Tulsa Community College, OSU-Tulsa, and OU-Tulsa to help AmeriCorps alumni get best quality experience to garner further education, including leveraging Segal award.

AmeriCorps Support

  • Acting as a “near peer mentor” to the AmeriCorps members, the AmeriCorps Member Experience Manager can help develop a work relationship to help retain AmeriCorps members throughout the year 
  • Lead cross team collaboration to identify AmeriCorps member needs and respond with appropriate supports
  • Lead as the staff point for AmeriCorps Council & Wellness Checks
  • Coordinate AmeriCorps member surveys

AmeriCorps Member Logistics

  • Manage site coordination for AmeriCorps recruitment and confirmed AmeriCorps member engagement.
  • Support AmeriCorps member registration, onboarding, and transition to service with Director of People.
  • Assure the prompt and proper distribution of uniform parts to AmeriCorps members and staff including all uniform concerns and modifications relative to City Year standards.
