OPPORTUNITY
Green Dot Public Schools Tennessee is launching a program which will provide a mentor for each one of our students. We are seeking an experienced mentorship coordinator who can effectively execute cross-functional work across the region and with outside partners and vendors. This person should care deeply about the students we serve and be able to evolve as the program does - an ability to adapt, pivot, and take on whatever is needed is essential.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with a technology vendor to launch a virtual mentoring platform consistent with our technical and program requirements.
Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators for program engagement.
Coordinate the programmatic evaluation process with participating schools, corporations, and an evaluation partner.
Work closely with human resources to ensure all mentors have met necessary screening requirements and/or administrative requirements to be in contact with our students as mandated by our organization and school authorizer frameworks as appropriate.
Develop program policies, procedures, plans, and associated communications needed to operate a large, scalable mentoring program in middle and high schools.
Partner with the Director of Development and Mentorship on operational elements and the development of the mentorship program.
Execute daily operations; report and/or resolve any operational issues.
Support execution of training for students, mentors, principals, corporate partners, and other stakeholders as necessary.
On an ongoing basis, identify opportunities and find solutions for process improvement.
Contribute to business development and partnership efforts.
Research and create partnerships with potential corporations and organizations and/or donors for programs.
Develop program policies, procedures, plans, and associated communications needed to operate a large, scalable mentoring program in middle and high schools.
Design onboarding and ongoing training and support for mentors
Train mentors (adult volunteers) on mentorship mindset and the mentorship curriculum.
Program larger events associated with the mentorship program.
Support the Director of Development and Mentorship in preparing for pitch meetings and filling in as a representative when appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to quickly switch between workstreams, and project manage diverse groups of stakeholders to a common goal.
Demonstrates high levels of time management, organization, prioritization, and proactive follow-up/follow-through skills.
Effective problem-solving, critical thinking and ability to clearly present information to individuals and groups.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and apply effective change management strategies to navigate the culture effectively.
Must possess strong computer literacy skills, including but not limited to a proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Salesforce or CRM experience is a plus.
Spanish language fluency is a plus.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION:
The ideal candidate has some or all the following experiences:
2+ years non-profit, volunteer, and/or education program operations, especially in the start-up phase.
working at school sites and/or working within the communities we serve.
managing compliance and risk mitigation.
managing a vendor relationship and holding vendors accountable.
improving and implementing systems that contribute and drive a project or program toward operational excellence.
3+ years business development or fundraising experience, with a track record in managing a development pipeline to meet ambitious goals.
Bachelor's degree.
